Avadio Angina Relief

Types of Angina and Their Cause

Stable Angina: The most common form, stable angina occurs when the heart is working harder than normal. It manifests in a regular pattern, meaning that the patient is often able to tell when the chest pain will occur. The pain typically subsides within a few minutes, or immediately after taking medication.

The primary aggravator of stable angina is physical exertion. When persons with stable angina are sitting, the demand for oxygen is low and the heart is able to obtain the required amount of oxygen, despite severely narrowed arteries. However, when exerted, the heart requires more oxygen and pain results. Other causes may include stress, smoking, diet, or extreme variations in temperature.

Unstable Angina: This type of chest pain is extremely dangerous and requires immediate medical attention. Unstable angina is considered an acute coronary syndrome. It is a key indicator that heart attack will occur. Unstable angina has no pattern, can occur randomly, and is not relieved with the administration of medicine or rest. The primary cause of unstable angina is the blockage of an artery from a blood clot.

Variant Angina: The rarest form of this condition, variant angina occurs during periods of rest; primarily in the late evening and early morning hours. It is usually relieved by taking prescription medication. Variant angina results from a spasm of the coronary artery. There can be many contributing factors, including; excessive stimulant use, exposure to extreme cold, medications, or even emotional stress. The spasm causes the coronary artery to narrow and results in a slowing or stoppage of blood to the heart.

It remains important to identify and treat the form of angina correctly. Angina may not be an indicator of long-term heart damage, but remains an important sign of heart disease.

Signs and Symptoms

The signs and symptoms of angina vary depending on the individual, as well as the type and severity of chest pain. Most individuals note that it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where pain is coming from and are unable to accurately describe their feelings. However, typical angina is accompanied with an uncomfortable pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest. The discomfort also may be felt in the neck, jaw, shoulder, back or arm. Symptoms are likely to occur when you’re climbing stairs, walking uphill, carrying groceries, during intercourse, during periods of emotional stress, when exercising, or if you work in extremely hot or cold weather.

Chest pain, or angina pectoralis, is a frightening condition that affects some 3 - 6 million Americans. It is a difficult condition for physicians to diagnose, as the spectrum of complications remains broad. Some patients mistake mild angina pain for severe indigestion, while others suffer from excruciating pain. Regardless of individual symptoms, finding the answer is critical. Diagnosing the signs and symptoms of chest pain can be the difference between life and death.

Angina is a key characteristic of CAD, or coronary heart disease, and CAD is indicative of plaque build up upon the coronary arteries. This plaque build up, known as atheroslcerosis, causes arteries to become stiff and narrow. When this occurs, less blood and oxygen is able to reach the heart. The end result is mild to severe chest pain. Once recognized, this type of pain often initiates dramatic changes in one's lifestyle.

When diagnosed with recurrent chest pain, or angina, healthy lifestyle changes are paramount in your quest for better circulatory health. These changes often begin with dietary modifications and end with prescription medications. Having angina means that you are at a greater risk of having a heart attack than someone who does not have angina. It also means that greater changes in lifestyle are needed to prevent the possible occurence of heart attack.

Avadio has been developed for such a purpose - to supplement your existing, or upcoming, lifestyle modifications with a formula that provides effective circulatory support.

Avadio is a natural formula that may stabilize chest pains by improving cardiovascular health, while helping to reverse known risk factors, including elevated homocysteine levels.
